Toxic Haircut is one of my top 5 because of the way the narrative changed throughout. The original idea you get from the film is that the lady is going to be the one who is dangerous to the other character, but them you find out that she is being over ruled by something too. The lighting used is really effective as it adds to the feel of him being in danger to go for a haircut, when actually he has walked into a place where they offer people to get their ears cut off. The sound used on top of the clips also helps with exaggerating the genre - which i would say is a thriller. I feel as though the editing and the quick cuts used makes the film move quicker and makes it seem more tense. There is the typical style of sound effects, sound track, and lighting to set the style of this film - ensuring it stays within the genre. Overall, i liked this one because of the twist it has in the middle of the film, and the editing used on top of one of the last shots to give it an animated theme.

Scare Crow uses a good range of shots including establishing shots, tracking shots, panning, and drone shots to create a sense of the girl in the field being watched. This one also uses a good depth of field shot to focus on the initial shot of the scare crow - it makes the audience realise that the scare crow has an important role in the short film, and entices them to watch it further. I thought that the use of changing the colour scheme when the scare crow comes to life was really effective as it draws attention to that particular shot and the film is likely to be remembered for that shot. I feel as though the use of the drone shots to follow the girl running really helps with the film keeping its pace as it is a sturdy shot and clearly shows the action that is happening. In conclusion, i really like this one particularly for all of the different shot types it uses.
